There's no better way to unwind than with a trip to the beach. And there are beaches for just about everyone, whether you want to take a stroll along a windswept beach leading to an ancient castle, relax on a white-sand paradise in the middle of the Indian Ocean, or take a break after catching a few waves early in the morning.
To help you decide where to go next, we've compiled a list of 10 world's most beautiful beaches.
Beaches on Philippines' island of Boracay
White Beach is ideal for swimmers because of its calm, flat waters. Beach activities, restaurants, nightlife, and hotels can be found on this 3-mile-long stretch of Boracay's shoreline. Stations 1, 2, and 3 along the beach offer various lodging options, ranging from luxury to mid-range to low-cost.
You can fly to the island of Boracay from Manila. There is a 10-minute ferry ride from Caticlan to Kalibo a, and the flights last about an hour (followed by a two-hour bus ride).
The Blue Lagoon in the Turkish town of lüdeniz
White sands and warm, turquoise water abound at the Blue Lagoon, located in Oludeniz, a town whose name means "dead sea" due to the area's calm waters. This is the place for you if you want a more laid-back experience. The lagoon offers a variety of activities, such as paragliding and boating.
Take a 20-minute bus ride from Fethiye to the beautiful bay of lüdeniz. Fethiye is approximately an hour and a half away from Istanbul by air.
The Na Pali Coast of the Hawaiian island of Kauai
This is a popular tourist destination. You can only see the Na Pali Coast by boat or canoe because it's on the island's northwest coast. The Kalalau Trail, a grueling 11-mile (22-mile round trip) trek from Kee Beach to Kalalau Beach, is another option for experienced trekkers to explore the region.
Maldives' North Atoll's Meeru Island
The only resort on Meerufenfushi Island, in the North Male Atoll, is Meeru Island, and it's perfect for those looking for a little piece of paradise. In addition to sunbathing and snorkeling, this beach is ideal for relaxing.
Meeru Island is a 55-minute boat ride from the Velana International Airport in Male.
Thailand's Railay Beach in Krabi Province
It is located south of Krabi and Ao Nang on the Railay peninsula, a popular tourist destination for Thais. This is the place if you're a rock climber looking for a challenge.
For those coming from Ao Nang, you can take a 15-minute boat ride to Railay.
Queensland, Australia's Whitehaven Beach
It is on Whitsunday Island, where Whitehaven Beach, a 4-mile stretch of environmentally friendly coastline, can be found. The beach's white silica sands, primarily composed of white silica, give it its striking brightness, as do the area's blue and green waters, numerous covers, lagoons, and inlets. In addition to a great place to relax by the pool or read a book, its remote location is rarely crowded, making it an ideal location for a little "me" time.
A high-speed catamaran ride from Hamilton Island takes 35 minutes to get to Whitehaven Beach. Hamilton Island is accessible by plane (from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Cairns), ferry, or the Sunlander train, which runs four times a week from Brisbane and Cairns.
Bali's Bingin Beach, The Indonesian island of Bali
With swells reaching as high as 8 feet, Bali's Bingin Beach is a must-visit destination for serious surfers looking for challenging waves. There is no better time to sunbathe on the beach than when the water is low.
Ngurah Rai International Airport is 30 minutes away by car, and Bingin Beach can be accessed by foot.
.McCray Falls in Big Sur, California, is the next stop on your adventure.
To capture the beauty of Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park's McWay Falls, you'll need to bring a camera or phone. Incredible jagged rocks surround the 80-foot falls, which are awe-inspiring in their own right.
The McWay Waterfall Trail takes you to McWay Falls, which is easily accessible. From San Francisco, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park is a three-hour drive and a 5.5-hour drive from Los Angeles.
Pensacola Beach in Florida
On Florida's Gulf Coast, Pensacola Beach has 18 miles of sugar-white sand and water that's just as pleasant to swim in (on the western part of the panhandle). A beach is an excellent place for families to relax and unwind, with restaurants, bars, and water sports within a few blocks.
Getting there: Pensacola Beach can be reached in 30 minutes via car from Pensacola Regional Airport.
Bamburgh, in Northumberland, England
