The Ife Grand Resort & Leisure is slated to become a world-class Ethno-Cultural Tourism Resort, veritable leisure and recreation center situated on 328 acres of soon-to-be-developed natural habitat. The main Resort is located on an enormous hilltop near the Ife-Ibadan Expressway, approximately 4 kilometers from the heart of the ancient and culturally significant city of Ile-Ife in the State of the Living Spring, Osun State, Nigeria.
The Ife Grand Resort & Leisure is a hospitality-care center where foreign tourists visit. Our indigenous clients can enjoy the luxury of large and well-appointed rooms, professional services, and a seamless mélange of western culture and African tradition, which we always make with our delicious meals and drinks.
Ife Grand Resort & Leisure is a must-see while in the university town. The resort, located on Kilometre 4, Ibadan Road, Ile-Ife, Osun State, is a tropical oasis for leisure seekers and discerning guests who value quiet and communion with nature while receiving personalized services.
Fresh air meets you as you enter, and the warmth of the concierge sets the tone for pleasure. The locally created concierge table, bespoke furniture covered with local fabrics like Adire and Ankara, center tables constructed from timber cuttings, and walls littered with magnificent artworks all combine to please the five senses, particularly sight.
The resort has 68 rooms available, including 6-, 8-, and 10-room chalets and single rooms. The interest comes from the fact that the furniture is purchased locally, and the doors are created from indigenous wood varieties such as bamboo.
The resort has an African Village with 51 beautiful cottages named after previous Ooni (paramount rulers of Ile-Ife) for cultural buffs. The huts are one-room suites with world-class amenities.
Aside from the huts, the African Village has a Bamboo Restaurant and a local kitchen where tourists can see how native cuisine menus are cooked and served in local pots, an option that is claimed to be popular with African Diasporas.
Guests staying in the village have access to a regular swimming pool and a children's pool.
However, the resort has a large restaurant and a trendy open bar, which is a duplicate of the floating bar on the Lagoon at Inagbe Grand Resort Lagos.
Guests who gain weight while staying at the resort can reduce it by participating in several sports and fitness activities, including lawn tennis, basketball, football in the mini-stadium, which also organizes concerts, and a well-equipped children's playground.
As the resort's popularity grows, it has various developments to meet the increased demand. The 6,000-person civic center is still under construction, and the Olympic-size swimming pool is nearing completion. Work is also proceeding at the indoor spa center, which offers manicures and pedicures.
It's exciting to walk around the resort area and see streets named after Yoruba towns like Abeokuta and Ijebu, among others.
However, the resort's backers hope to strengthen the economy of Ile-Ife, empower the inhabitants, and use the alternative to put the old town on the map by bringing worldwide tourists to the town's various attractions.
Furthermore, guests are encouraged to interact with the monkeys, observe the alligators, and play local activities at the African Village to enhance their stay at the resort.
Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, is promoting the resort, which is scheduled to compete with services at Inagbe Grand Resort
