EASIEST COUNTRIES TO GET WORK VISA

People travel abroad for various reasons, for greener pastures in a country with a better economy, a better educational system, and for pleasure and relaxation.

This article aims to list countries that make it easy for immigrants to relocate based on work. Not to say the policies surrounding these visas aren't stressful at all, but it is much easier compared to other countries.

1. The Netherlands

To work in The Netherlands, you need a work visa and a resident permit. There are different types of visas available in this country, GVVA or single permit, Highly skilled migrant scheme, Orientation year permits for expat graduates, etc.

All visa applications must be in English, Dutch, German, or French and submitted personally to the immigration office in your country. The process could be a little confusing, and it is advised to seek professional help.

2. Cambodia

Immigrants moving into Cambodia for work must obtain an E-class visa, valid for 30 days. They must also obtain a work permit and employment card through the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training.

Once the individual has a work visa, they must apply for a work permit, which is valid for a year and can be renewed for as long as the period indicated on a residence permit.

3. Australia

There are various work opportunities in Australia depending on your profession ranging from specialized and skilled workers to businesspersons.

For an Australian visa, the applicant must be below 45 years and have at least three years of relevant work experience.

In the application process, the first thing to do is to get an approved sponsor who could also be an employer who will nominate you for the online job application.

4. Germany

Germany is the land of innovation and technology, which makes them more open to researchers with technical knowledge and scholars or lectures in prominent Universities.

However, a work permit isn't exclusive to these people. To work in Germany, you must first get a job offer which you can get from searching online and submitting your CV alongside.

Go ahead to submit your work visa application, attend the visa interview, submit all required documents, and wait for the response to your application.

5. Canada

Work permits are issued through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) and the International Mobility Program (IMP).

TFWP offers work permits for candidates whose employers obtain a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), which confirms a need for a foreign worker to fill the job at hand and that no Canadian worker is available to do the job.

IMP work permits do not require a positive LMIA. They need the employer to submit an employment offer under their employer portal.

Canada issues two types of work permits:

i) Employer-Specific Work Permit means an employer must provide a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or an offer of employment before applying a foreigner can apply.

ii) Open Work Permit allows a foreigner to work for any employer in Canada, but they are issued in specific circumstances.

6. Ireland

Before a foreigner can apply for an Ireland work visa, they must have found a job in Ireland.

You do not have to apply for an Ireland visa if you are:

  • A foreigner from an EU member state or other approved countries
  • You are an Ireland Student Visa holder.
  • You are carrying out scientific research for an approved research organization.
  • You are a postgraduate student, and employment is a required part of your course.

One thing that puts Ireland on this list is that the work visa application can be submitted by the employer or yourself online, and the processing time is within fifteen weeks.

Ireland's most common work visa;

i) The Critical Skills Employment Permit

It is available to highly-skilled workers to fill skills shortages in certain occupations. The applicants eligible include professionals in the fields of Natural and Social Science, Engineering, ICT, Health, Teaching and Education, Architecture, etc.

ii) The General Employment Permit

This Irish employment permit is issued to professions that do not qualify for the Critical Skills permit. There is no list of eligible occupations you can apply for this type of Ireland employment permit under any profession.

7. China

China uses a value system to score work visa applications using their age, gender, qualifications, work experience, Mandarin proficiency, etc. An applicant's score at the end will show how valuable an applicant is to the nation and the additional benefits they might attract.

An employee or yourself can apply for a work visa in China by going to the Chinese embassy, where all primary documents are to be submitted. Many employees apply for Z visas and need to obtain a Chinese Residence Permit within 30 days of arriving in China.

You must note that there are laws guiding the entry and exit of foreigners in China. Within 24 hours of arrival, register at the Chinese Exit-Entry Administration Law to avoid penalties.

8. The Czech Republic

Czech republic issues long or short-term visas depending on how long you have to be in the country. Visas are also issued to positions where an EU citizen doesn't qualify but a foreigner. An employer will submit the application form, and the employee/foreigner will provide all the documents needed, such as proof of identity, professional qualifications, and more.

After a few days of arrival in Czech, foreigners are expected to register with the country's authorities, such as The Police department, to avoid penalties.

9. Ecuador

A work visa in Ecuador depends on the job you're employed for. In Ecuador, two primary visas are issued; Resident and non-resident.

A resident visa is issued to degree holders from local universities or employees working with an Ecuadorian company. A non-resident visa is issued to foreigners for business or other work purposes.

The requirements for this work visa application are usually the basic requirements. If you're moving to Ecuador with your family, they will be issued another type of visa, and the application process is pretty the same.

10. South Korea

South Korea issues visas for various purposes, ranging from foreign language instructors or interpreters to researchers to artists.

During the visa application, it is usually stipulated to attach an employer's letter or proof of employment in the country along with other documents. South Korea conducts both online and in-person applications.

Whichever country catches your eye in this list, ensure to go through the process and gather all necessary documents to avoid any issues during and after the application process.
