olumorock

In Ogun State, there are numerous tourist attractions. In addition to having several schools, Ogun State is home to some of West Africa's most breathtaking sites. It is amazing how much you can learn about the nation and its people from these significant locations given its rich history and cultural heritage.

Olumo Rock is the most well-known tourist destination in Ogun State, although there are many more places to visit as well, including Evteoni Beach Tourist Resort and Lisabi Sacred Forest. There are a lot more!

Olumo Rock

The most visited tourist destination in the states of Ogun and Abeokuta is Olumo Rock. In addition, it is one of the most well-visited vacation spots in Nigeria and West Africa.

The Egba tribe of the Egba Land used Olumo rock as a fortification during the conflict in the late 19th century.

The Egba people reside in Abeokuta, which translates to "under the rocks." The formidable Olumo rock serves as sanctuaries and strongholds to track the movements of adversaries, ultimately helping the Egba people to win the war.

Every day, thousands of people travel to Olumorock, which is  137 meters above ground level. Currently, Olumo Rock has a restaurant, an elevator, and a fountain. The shrine and cave in this enormous rock are still visually appealing enough to be present.

This site is a must-see see since it gives a thorough picture of Abeokuta, crafts, the market, ties, and dying.

Sacred Forest of Lisabi

The Lisabi Sacred Forest is situated in Ogun State, the Obafemi Municipality. The famous Lisa Bombo Akara, who transitioned from a peasant to a warrior, is buried in the Lisabi forest.

He battled for Egba's freedom from Orios' enslavement. The Lisabi Day celebration always involves a march through the Lisabi Forest. The whole population of Ogun State regards the Lisabi Forest as sacrosanct. This is because of the Ogun and Tegbel rivers around it.

Rare bird species threatened species, and reptiles are known to call the woodland home.

Centenary Hall

The centenary hall may be found at Abeokuta. The centenary Memorial Hall was built opposite the Ake Palace in 1950 to mark the 100th anniversary of Abeokuta's peaceful coexistence following the final tribal conflict.

 Hi-Impact Planet

On the Lagos-Ibadan Highway is the fascinating amusement park known as Hi-Impact Planet. Both kids and adults may enjoy the entertaining indoor activities and thrilling outdoor rides at this amusement park.

Families and people of all ages can enjoy themselves at this park. Luxurious apartments, a well-stocked clinic, a multipurpose room, and a souvenir yard with a wide selection of items are all available on High Impact Planet.

It guarantees the smooth operation of the entire facility and the safety of everyone with an uninterruptible power supply and adequate security.

Resort at Hill Top Golf

In Ogun State's capital, Abeokuta, there is a golf resort called Hilltop. A calm environment and an interesting golf club. At the clubhouse, you may unwind with tasty music and a selection of refreshments. Golf on the hills, then unwind at Lake

Tourist beach at Ebute Oni.

A waterfront at Ebute Oni, which is situated on Ijebu waterside, is home to the Ebute Oni Tourist Beach Resort.

This location was first found by some fishermen a long time ago, and only recently was it transformed into a resort for both tourists and locals.

The resort provides a variety of chalets where visitors may stay and enjoy the area. These chalets can hold a large number of guests.

The Abeokuta Museum

The Abeokuta Museum is located in Abeokuta, Ogun State, as the name suggests. Ancient artifacts that depict human history can be found at the museum. The museum is a must-see for tourists in Ogun State since it displays artwork and historical weapons used by early settlers in the city and its environs.

There are several other must-sees in Abeokuta, but these are the most fascinating; anytime you are within Ogun State, make sure to visit three or more of these destinations and you'd have the time of your life.
